The Hardest Hole in PitchPutt

18th Hole “Pirates of the Caribbean” 72 Yard Par 3 at Vickery Creek PitchPutt

By all accounts, the 18th Hole at Vickery Creek PitchPutt “Pirates of the Caribbean” should be banned from not only PitchPutt but this Planet. Yes we understand Vickery Creek’s argument that only 20% remain in the psychiatric ward after playing it, but 7 is way too much. Then there is the tour pros who have graced the tee only to have reportedly been leaving voicemails at all hours of the night to their respective associations begging to return to amateur status. Did we forget to mention the fish? Yes the poor fish, all but have swam downstream after relentless aerial attacks or wait, was it due to the “strategic” addition of sharks by the architect (we are not sure). Finally even the architect himself who spent five years building the bloody course came to the jagged rock 18th tee -5 under, only to then curse the entire five year endeavor after finishing 3 over with a 11; he refuses to add a drop zone to this day.

After multiple months, our PitchPuttOrg investigative journalist, was finally able to serve the architect with a 174,257 signature petition requesting solace for mortals with installing a drop zone on the 18th. To which the sadistic architect replied “all the tears will wash down the creek, but when you do pull of the shot whether its for a birdie or a twenty footer for 11, you will have enduring feeling of triumph over the torture.” Well not sure if he is a diablo or the next Dalai Lama, but we do know if you do triumph on the 18th you can say in the words of Carl Spackler “So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.”
